Pet Owner Surrender

If you are unable to rehome your pet, you can request to surrender your pet to Nevada SPCA by appointment. In order for our staff to best assess each pet in need, it is important that we acquire detailed information about your pet’s history, behaviors, living conditions, medical care, and socialization.

Nevada SPCA requires all owners to submit an online Pet Surrender Questionnaire for each pet.

Nevada SPCA partners with local online pet food retailer PetFlow. PetFlow’s Good Deeds program donates a bowl of food to a pet in need with every box shipped. PetFlow is guided by a mission that every pet deserves to find, and stay in, a loving home. PetFlow donates limited quantities of cat and dog food to Nevada SPCA. If you or someone you know has a pet in need of pet food, book your Pet Food Pantry visit Powered by PetFlow at NSPCA today.

Lost & Found Pets

Nevada SPCA understands how heartbreaking it is to lose a beloved pet. Please review the links below for tips on keeping your pet safe.

Register your pet on Finding Rover

Finding Rover is a free mobile app that helps pet owners find their lost pets in real-time using facial recognition. Pet owners can register their pets on Finding Rover by uploading their phone number, entering a few details about their pet, and sharing their contact details. This is a free service.

Microchipping

Remember, identification can be a lifesaver for a lost pet. It’s a good idea for all your animal companions—even indoor-only pets—to always wear a collar with an ID tag that includes your name, current phone number, and any relevant contact information. If you’ve chosen to microchip your pet as a means of permanent identification, keep in mind that microchips are only as good as the information provided to the chip’s company.

Print and Post Lost Pet Flyers

Good places to post your flyers include dog parks and runs, pet supply stores and pet grooming shops, and veterinary offices. Various commercial establishments like grocery and convenience stores, gas stations, laundromats, bars, cafes, and restaurants are other good high-traffic options.
