Make a Donation

Your 2024 gift enables Nevada SPCA's life-saving work.

We are funded entirely by individuals like you.

Do you have an IRA or have you inherited an IRA where you are looking to satisfy your Required Minimum Distributions in 2021?

For 2021, you must take an RMD from your own (non-beneficiary) IRA for 2021 if you were 70 1/2 or older on December 31, 2019, as you would have already started your RMDs and are required to continue. And, you would be required to take an RMD for 2021 if you were born at any time in 1949 or earlier, as this means that you would be at least 72 on December 21, 2021.

To ensure your gift of support is not reflected in your Accumulated Gross Income ask your financial institution to send a check to: Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Tax ID: 88-0197383 Address: 4800 West Dewey Dr., Las Vegas, Nevada 89118

Once you have completed your designation, please let us know that it’s on its way: Lori Heeren, Executive Director: (702) 524-8829 / lori@nevadaspca.org

Your donation today will assist in saving the lives of Southern Nevada’s most vulnerable pets. Thank you!

Planned Giving

Will or Trust Gifts

When you make a bequest to Nevada SPCA, you will ensure that assets given will be used for programs and services that help animals. There are several types of bequests:

  • Specific Bequest – a specified amount, or specific asset, designated in your will or trust as a gift to Nevada SPCA
  • Residuary Bequest – designates that a specific percentage of your estate, or all, will be paid to Nevada SPCA after payment of all other distributions, including debts, taxes, expenses, and other bequests, have been made.
  • Contingent Bequest – specifies that your estate, or a portion of it, will go to Nevada SPCA if your other named beneficiary(ies) predeceases you.

Sample Bequest Language: To make certain that your charitable intentions are carried out, all wills, living trusts and their codicils or amendments should be prepared by or with the advice of your attorney. You can share with your attorney the following language that can be included in your will or living trust and tailored to address your specific wishes:

I give to Nevada SPCA (Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Federal I.D. No. 88-0187383, located in Las Vegas, Nevada (the sum of $______) (all or __% of the residue of my estate), to be used for its general purposes.

Retirement Gifts

A gift to the Nevada SPCA through a retirement plan (IRA, 401(k), 403(b), Keogh, or other qualified retirement plan) is one of the easiest and most tax-effective ways to ensure a strong future for the lives we save. Such assets, if given to an individual, will be subject to various kinds of taxes, but if given to a charity, such as the Nevada SPCA, will not be taxed. To get started — to name the Nevada SPCA as a beneficiary of your retirement plan – simply list it on your plan’s beneficiary designation form. Our legal name, address and taxpayer identification number is Nevada SPCA (Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), 4800 W. Dewey Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89118, Federal I.D. No. 88-0187383.

You retain full control of the account during your lifetime, and on your death, any assets remaining will be transferred to the Nevada SPCA (Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), 4800 W. Dewey Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89118, Federal I.D. No. 88-0187383.
